Mega Powerstar Ramcharan is one of the top actors in Tollywood. He has been struggling for success from sometime as none of his recent outings ended up as hits. His past movies Govindhudu Andarivadele and Bruce Lee ended up as disappointments at the box-office and the actor has been in need of a massive hit soon. With not much risk, Charan decided to go for a remake and he selected the remake of ThaniOruvan which was a sensational hit in Tamil. M Raja directed the movie and Jayam Ravi, Nayanathara played the lead roles.
Surendar Reddy has been selected to direct the film and the pre-production work of the film has been delayed as Charan was not happy with the final draft of the film. Surendar Reddy made too many changes to the script that did not go well for Charan and Surendar Reddy had to change them again. The regular shoot of the film started in May and the movie was expected to complete 50% off its shoot till date however only 25% of the shoot has been completed. This made Charan angry and he has been pushing Surendar Reddy to speed up as Ramcharan is in no mood to miss the date of Dasara.
Ramcharan also suggested some songs along with the comedy tracks which was not accepted by Surendar Reddy. The duo had a clash right from the first day and all is not well between Surendar Reddy and Ramcharan. RakulPreet Singh is playing the female lead in the movie and Charan will be seen as a cop in the film. Top producer Allu Aravind is producing Dhruva on Geetha Arts banner. Charan is in plans to wrap up the shoot soon and release the movie during Dasara this year. Hiphop Thamiza is the music composer for Dhruva.
