Kanna fired..Somu Verraju Becomes AP BJP President

In a quick and amazing turn of events, previous minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana was on Monday night, shunted out of his post. He was replaced by BJP leader and member of APSLC Somu Veerraju as the party president.

The appointment was made by BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, as per a Communication from national BJP general secretary Arun Singh.Somu Veerraju will be taking charge as BJP Andhra Pradesh president very soon.

Hailing from an agriculturist family in East Godavari locale, Veerraju was the president and general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Andhra Pradesh for a very lengthy timespan. Afterward, he was raised to the BJP state Committee as its general secretary and VP.

Kanna was appointed by former BJP national president Amit Shah on May 13, 2018, but he has failed to strengthen the party since then.

There have been claims that Kanna has been taking on a supporting role to Telugu Desam Gathering president N Chandrababu Naidu by supporting the last’s battle against the Jagan.
