Reiterating the demand for a CBI probe into the murder of Naryana Reddy in Kurnool district YSR Congress has said that the murder was premeditated and was executed according to a plan. Speaking to reporters here on Thursday party spokesperson Srinivas Venugopal Krishna said, ‘ Chandrababu Naidu government is trying to bring in caste equation and diverting the attention by floating non-issues while the fact remains that Narayana Reddy’s murder was premeditated and only CBI and not a state agency can bring out the facts.
The accused have been speaking as per the script and everything is going according to a plan. The fact that Narayana Reddy has been a relentless fighter against the sand mafia and the Deputy Chief Minister and his son have links with illegal sand mining points the needle of suspicion towards the top leadership of TDP, he said.
We will settle for nothing short of a CBI inquiry as our Pathikonda coordinator was actively exposing the sand mafia in the region and has even filed cases in the court. The police instead of providing security cover to him have taken away his weapon before MLA polls and did not return it.
People who left the village long back had come back bringing an air of tension and the murder took place in connivance and full knowledge of the high command, he said and demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident.
