Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is again in trouble. When CBI booked cases against MLC Vakati Narayana Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu promptly suspended him from the party. On Tuesday another ruling party MLC Deepak Reddy was arrested by the Hyderabad police in connection with forging documents of government lands and trying to grab valuable properties worth crores of rupees in the city. Can Chandrababu take similar action against Deepak Reddy, the nephew of TDP MP JC Prabhakar Reddy? Is anybody’s guess and everybody is watching the development eagerly.
Meanwhile party sources said that the Chief Minister is in two minds. If he takes action against Deepak Reddy it will be suicidal for the party in Anantapur district, as JC Diwakara Reddy and his MLA brother JC Prabhakara Reddy will create trouble.
Can Naidu invite trouble in a district where the party is already in deep crisis? Usually Chandrababu Naidu won’t use the same yard stick to judge cases of same velocity said a party functionary. Chandrababu Naidu took prompt action against Vakati immediately after CBI conducted raids, but not initiated any action against Union Minister Sujana Chowdary or State Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao who were facing bank fraud cases. So we can’t expect Chandrababu Naidu to apply same yardstick in Deepak Reddy case as in the case of Vakati, the TDP leader explained.
Meanwhile a section in the party insisting action on Deepak Reddy to a sent a clear message that the party will not spare anybody if indulged in fraudulent means. A leader said that the party either suspend Deepak Reedy from the party or revoke the suspension on Narayana Reddy. Now the ball is in Chandrababu Court.
