Actor Suriya, is known for being part of movies like Surya S/O Krishnan, Ghajini, Raktha Charitra, Singham series. He enjoys huge following in Telugu as well as Tamil. Mahanati team approached him to play the part of Gemini Ganeshan in the movie.
The actor took part in initial discussions with director Naga Ashwin and asked him for complete script suggesting few changes. After deliberation and trying to implement his suggestions, the team thought they did not fit into the script right.
The team had few more discussions with the actor and he decided to opt out of the movie. Now, the team is trying to have discussions with another top star and start shooting of the movie by end of this month.
