Raghurama Krishnam Raju is working under the direction of Chandrababu: Srikanth Reddy

Government Chief Whip G Srikanth Reddy criticised opposition TDP leaders over boycotting Assembly session fearing to take part in discussion and said that the government will conduct the business in compliance with the Covid-19 protocol.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the MLA said that the government was ready to discuss any issue, but the opposition TDP is enacting drama to avoid discussing public aspects. He said that Chandrababu could have cited Covid as an issue and boycotted the session instead of defaming the government. The State government has been taking effective measures in controlling the Covid, right from increasing the testing centres to setting up Covid Care Centres in all constituencies with all required facilities. The MLA questioned whether the steps being taken against the pandemic were not visible to Chandrababu.

Further, Srikanth Reddy stated that Chandrababu Naidu has completely neglected the health care system during his rule leaving everything crippled. He said that the State government has been taking measures from time to time without oxygen shortage, constantly writing to the Centre seeking more quota. He slammed opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu for making irresponsible remarks against the State government and creating panic among the public and  made it clear that they had no objection to purchasing vaccines from the manufacturers but the control of vaccine supply is still with the Centre.

Speaking with regard to Raghurama arrest, he said that MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju is working under the direction of Chandrababu, who has been conspiring to destabilize the government. He said that CID had suo moto registered a case against Raghurama and presented him before the court, with no involvement of the government. But the TDP leaders are unnecessarily drawing flak over his arrest, although the Medical Board was constituted as per the directions of the High Court, and added that Raghurama had put up the drama soon after his bail petition got rejected. Two of the TDP leaders Atchennaidu and Dhulipalla Narendra were also arrested by the State police but none has complained of being assaulted by police, unlike Raghurama.

Responding over the MP was unnecessarily booked with treason cases, he said that in the past Chandrababu had filed same treason cases against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao under section 124A for cash for vote case and later also filed cases against MLA Giddi Eswari over Bauxite issue.
