A recent study by Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has found that life in these eight countries is the highest when compared to all other countries in the world.

The Netherlands: The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development has found that the Netherlands – famous for tulip fields, canals, cycling routes, etc – has one of the highest literacy rates in the world. Education in this country is compulsory between the ages 5 and 16. And almost all children here attend elementary school.
7. Sweden: People in this country – known for inland lakes – are highly engaged in politics. In the last election, 86 per cent of the country populace casted their vote in the last Parliament election. The country has four fundamental laws: the Instrument of Government, the Act of Succession, the Freedom of the Press Act and the Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression.
6. Canada: Canada – for its massive, multicultural Toronto – ranks high in housing standards, with the average home containing 2.5 rooms per person.
5. United States: The average US household has $41,355 in disposable income a year which is nearly twice the average of other countries in the study.
4. Australia: The study found that Australians have a strong sense of community feeling. About 92 per cent of country’s population report that they have someone they can rely on.
3. Switzerland: The country has only 3.5 per cent unemployment rate, one of the lowest in the world. The country is known for numerous lakes, villages and high peaks of the Alps.
2. Iceland: Iceland – famous for dramatic volcanic landscape of geysers, waterfalls and back-sand beaches – has some of the cleanest tap water in the world.
1. Norway: A majority of people here has paid jobs, a high level of education, and lives an average of 82 years. The country is known for fishing, hiking and skiing.
