Boycott Andhrajyothi: Bhumana

Severely condemning Andhrajyothi for publishing distorted versions of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, YSR Congress has said that it would explore legal options besides complaining to the Press Council of India and has decided to close doors on the media in question.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, party senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said,’ it has been ridiculous and against the basic values of journalism to distort and publish news with a criminal intent to damage the reputation of our leader and the party and we will explore all legal avenues besides complaining to PCI and keeping that particular media away from our activities.
The representation given by our leader to the Prime Minister on May 10 has been distorted and it was shown as the earlier representation given by us on the conduct of two officials in the ED who were acting like TDP workers. The earlier letter was a complaint lodged by us against two employees of the ED, Umashankar Goud and Gandhi who were behaving like TDP workers and this letter was given on February 17 and it was referred to the concerned departments on April 13.
What Andhrajyothi had done was instead of publishing the representation we had given on May 10 it had put in the February letter which is mischievous, derogatory, against the ethics of journalism, objectivity and has been spitting venom against our leader and party, he said.
The Andhrajyothi has taken a stand to support the ruling party and oppose YSR Congress but such distortions and deviation from truth cannot be tolerated and we have taken the issue seriously and will take all necessary action, including defamation case, against the media house, he said.
