Oxford University has been the first in the world to see a breakthrough in a vaccine for Coronavirus. It is developing this vaccine in association with pharma giant AstraZeneca, and the vaccine is now in the final stages of testing.
The Serum Institute of India is also actively working with Oxford University and AstraZeneca on this vaccine and has been given permission to manufacture thousands of doses in India. With the results of the vaccine looking very positive, the Serum Institute of India is now trying to test the vaccine in India and is seeking permission for the same.
If everything goes well, the vaccine can be expected to be out in the market by September.
