TDP gets rebel candidate in Tamballapally

TSNV state vice president Katta Doraswamy Naidu is filing his nomination on Friday as a rebel TDP candidate for the Tamballapalli assembly constituency. A loyal party worker for the 12 years and known to be quite close to both Chandrababu and Lokesh, Naidu has become quite popular among the youth.

Even when the AV family left the party, he stood rock-solid behind the TDP leadership and helped rebuild the party. He has helped in the victory of Sankar Yadav during the 2014 elections. Miffed by the denial of party ticket, he has resigned from the TDP and is filing his nomination as a rebel candidate.

He has deep connectons with the youth in the whole constituency and has relatives and friends spread across three out of six mandals in the district. In addition, he has been closely associated with the Muslim minorities and has taken up several welfare measures in the constituency.
